UNDISPUTED – Andy The Core im Interview

(English version below)

Yes or No? *lacht*

F*****CK PINEAPPLE ON PIZZA. NO ahahah

Andy The Core – Undisputed – Tracklist

ENGLISH VERSION

Hey Andy, thanks for taking time, even though we all have a lot of it right now *laughs*
To stay at this topic: How does the Corona pandemic and the “lockdown” in Italy not only affect your daily life at the moment but also the release of your album? Did it affect the early release date of Undisputed?

Corona changed the life of humanity also especially the life of djs & artists. I released my new album before scheduled because at least people can listen to some music while they are at home and it’s a chance to stay connected in this bad times. Music is something “Magic” for this reason.

Yes that’s absolutely true and I’m sure your fans were very glad about the earlier relase. Your album is called “Undisputed” – You already released a track with the same name on your EP “Neuro Alarm” in 2017, why did you choose that name/track for your new album again? Is there a story behind it?

Undisputed was one of my favorite tracks I ever did and I always wanted to release something, related to that, again. So I decided to call my second album “undisputed” which I want to clarify is not an “ego” thing! Absolutely not, not I am „undisputed“, the album is about Hardcore, about the feeling it gives to our followers and to our crowds. This feeling is – undisputed – the most exciting and emotional.

Couldn’t have said that better! The album showcase was actually planned to take place at Rebirth Festival, do you think this festival will also be a “victim” of Corona?

Well, I think yes.

Yes, now it’s already officially confirmed that Rebirth won’t take place in 2020 because of the Corona virus.
But nevertheless: What can we expect of “Undisputed”? Any collabs or tracks you are specially proud of?

I’m proud of every single track. There are a lot of upcoming artists in it which are very talented and it was super fun to produce with them. But one of my favorite tracks is without any doubt “That’s Hardcore”.

I can absolutely imagine that. But do you think genres within the Harder Styles are important? And in which genre would you allocate yourself and your new album? Hardcore? Uptempo? Or do you think “fvck genres” I just release the kind of music I like?

I’m pretty like “fvck genres” I call it Hardcore, every interview I always say the same thing but I still got this thinking. Hardcore is Hardcore, back in the days there were tracks at 200BPM and the word uptempo didn’t even exist. So I like to call it Hardcore.

Sounds good! But let’s keep it real: Being a DJ is not always the easiest job, especially if you have a lot of gigs in different countries. It means late nights, early mornings, busy schedules and lack of sleep. Is it hard for you sometimes?

I love to travel, it was never a problem for me, ofcourse it’s stressful sometimes but it’s part of the job, canceled flights and delays, That’s the real nightmare! *laughs*

Oh yes I feel you in this one! *laughs*
But to come back to your acestry: What is “Italian Hardcore” in your opinion? And what does it mean to you? Also in which points is the Italian Harder Styles scene different to the German/Dutch one?

Italian Hardcore should be converted to “Italian Artists”. In my opinion it’s a matter of “culture”. Hardcore is so popular in Holland, the Dutch artists live the scene in a total different way than Italian artists do, because there are TONS of festivals there and the influences are completely different. In Italy Hardcore is way more underground, which brings me sometimes to try and experiment new things, that’s the difference I think.

Last but not least a question that divides opinions worldwide and is asked to each of our guests: Pineapple on pizza? Yes or No? haha

F***CK PINEAPPLE ON PIZZA. NO ahahah

Alright that was a clear answer and to be honest: I expected that. Is there anything left you want to say?

Love you all, stay home, stay safe and soon we gonna be back on stages and dancefloors doing what we love.

What a beautiful end! Thanks a lot for being here and see you hopefully soon again.
